The Committee on the Judiciary moved to amend the bill on page two, section ten a, line twenty-seven, after the word “the” by striking out the word “commitment” and inserting in lieu thereof the word “conviction”;

And

On page two, section ten a, line twenty-nine, after the word “certified” by striking out the word “commitment” and inserting in lieu thereof the word “conviction”;

And

On page two, section ten a, line thirty, after the word “confined” by inserting the following:

“For purposes of this subsection, the term conviction means the date that a jury returns a guilty verdict, a court finds a defendant guilty acting without a jury or the date a defendant enters a plea and the plea is accepted.”
